Postscript--Sic Transit Gloria Mundi

Linda and Kathryn Huxtable's Breakup
June 30, 1998

Warning: Naked pain and suffering ahead.

I'm adding this to the wedding pages, because I think it would be dishonest not to mention that we're no longer together. It will also give me an outlet for some catharsis, which I would otherwise direct at Linda.

I thought of just removing the pages, but they've been popular, and the ceremony described was one of the happiest days in my life. Just because we're breaking up doesn't deny the reality of the love we shared.

We had a good run; longer than lots of couples. Mostly they were good times. Our relationship was not a failure just because it didn't last the rest of our lives. It was a success! We overcame great obstacles, worked out lots of smaller ones, and made a good marriage that lasted for fourteen years; sixteen if you count from when we started dating. And we made it six years from the ceremony described on my wedding pages.

That's a success by most standards. Fat lot of good that philosophy does me.
