Macaroni and Cheese
- Pre-heat oven to 375°F.
- Start water boiling for pasta.
- Mix together and set aside:
6 | tablespoons | nonfat dry milk powder | |
| | water | to make 7 ounces |
½ | teaspoon | worcestershire sauce | |
- Grate and set aside:
- Meanwhile, place in a one-quart casserole:
2 | tablespoons | butter | |
2 | tablespoons | onion | chopped |
¼ | teaspoon | salt | |
⅛ | teaspoon | pepper | |
⅛ | teaspon | dry mustard | |
| dash | cayenne | |
2 | | bay leaves | |
Cook and stir over medium heat until onion is slightly tender.
- Cook according to package directions:Drain.
- Blend into the onion mixture:Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
- Add the milk mixture in several additions, stirring out lumps each time.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir one minute. Remove from heat. Remove bay leaves.
- Stir in cheese. Add drained macaroni and mix well.
- Top with:
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
