Eastern Rice

McCormick's Allspice box
4 cups
rice
casserole
¼ cup butter
1 cup long grain rice
¼ cup slivered almonds
2 teaspoons onion chopped
¼ teaspoon ground allspice
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup raisins
½ cup water
10¾ ounces chicken broth
  1. Saute the rice and almonds in the butter.
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
  3. Cover and simmer 20 minutes without stirring.
